Kettlebells are a cast iron ball shaped weight with an attached handle that are designed to perform ballistic exercises to benefit the entire body. The use of cardiovascular, strength and flexibility create a style of training unique to kettlebells. Conditioning workouts consist of high intensity, effective fat burning exercises that provide an ‘after burn’ for up to 48 hours post-training. Exercises such as the American style kettlebell swing, the figure eight, and the hang clean can be compiled into a circuit or used on their own to gain strength, endurance, and build the cardiovascular system. The physical movements of these exercises can be transferred to other styles of weight training with equipment such as a barbell and dumbbells.
